Asana - Free Project Management application

Asana, the next big project from one of the team members at Facebook, is a free solution to managing your tasks as a team

The first thing that you’ll notice is that I said that this is a free project management tool. In a world crowded with other options, small business owners might be tempted with having another tool at their disposal without the costs associated with that tool. In that sense, free is a good thing.

Asana is the modern way to work together.  Asana can help you in writing status emails, tracking down updates, and generally doing “work about work.”  Not only can you work faster, you can also take on bigger and more interesting goals.

The application is organized into three panes: On the left are the projects in the current workspace. When you add people to your team’s workspace they get access to all of the projects. In the center is the name of the selected project, and the checklist of tasks in that project. Expand the right pane to edit task details like the assignee, due date, and comments.
